God VS My Need For Control

Feb 2 Proverbs 3:5-6

Okay but… trusting God is hard when you’re a planner, an overthinker, or just someone who likes knowing what’s next. This verse gets it.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart” means no half-trust, no backup plans, no “God I trust You BUT let me handle this part.” And “don’t lean on your own understanding” isn’t God saying you’re dumb—it’s Him saying you don’t see the whole picture like He does.

In all your ways acknowledge Him. Not just the big life decisions, but the little everyday moments too. The texts you overanalyze. The choices you stress about. The future you keep trying to control.

And the promise? He’ll make your paths straight. Not always easy. Not always aesthetic. But guided.

So today’s reminder, bestie: unclench your jaw, loosen the grip, breathe. You don’t have to have it all figured out. He’s got you, girl.

proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,and he shall direct thy paths.”
